Think, Speak & Grow Academy™ (TSG) is led by Dr. Kelly Walton, who has been an educator and youth development professional for more than two decades. TSG was conceptualized by a team of passionate K-16 educators that possess over a century of combined experiences and recognized accomplishments. In 2017, our team identified a need in the after-school setting to provide accelerated and enhanced opportunities to help students develop the essential life skills and characteristics needed to thrive in the 21st Century. As such, “our mission is providing children with experiences and opportunities that allow them to THINK critically, SPEAK confidently, and GROW exponentially.”
Our program gives parents the assurance their child is in a safe and secure environment, which also provides an early introduction to life skills that are critical in a global society. Our mission aligns with The 7 Habits of Happy Kids as well as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teenagers by Sean Covey, which we introduce through a 21st Century skills model that focuses on real-world simulation and application. These habits are:
Begin With The End In Mind
Put First Things First
Seek First to Understand, Then Be Understood
Sharpen The Saw
